This thesis is prepared aiming the following targets<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. To make it clear  that Buddhism is a historical  religion  in Nepal.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. To give knowledge of the main historical events concerning major sects of Buddhism in Nepal.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. To review the effect of political and social changes towards the Buddhism in the country.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. To study the present Buddhist situation against the background of history.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. To make known the present religious activities in the country.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
