It is bordered by India on the west, south and east, and by Tibet, now an Autonomous Region of the People&#8217;s Republic of China, in the north. Its area is 1,47,151 square km. (54,718 square miles). It lies in South Asia between the East meridians of 80-4&#8242; and 88-12&#8242; and the North parallels of 26-22&#8242; and 30-27&#8242;. Ecologically, Nepal is divided into three regions called the Mountain region, Hill region and the Terai region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The census of 1991 counted the population\u00a0 distribution\u00a0 by\u00a0 religion of over 18.5 million total population 86.5 % Hindu, 7.8% Buddhist, 3.5% Islam and the rest were others. For\u00a0 the\u00a0 year\u00a0 2000\u00a0 population\u00a0 of\u00a0 Nepal was estimated\u00a0 to be 22.9\u00a0 millions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nepal has British style parliamentary democracy and His Majesty King Jnanendra is ruling\u00a0 the country. It has legacy of complicated trends of\u00a0 history. In our study\u00a0 the historical\u00a0 sequence is shown as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p>700 B.C. 300 B.C. Buddha&#8217;s time and after that<br>301 B.C-300 C. A. Asokan period and after that.<br>301-AD.-1000 C.A. Licchavi Period<br>1001 C.A.-1700 C.A.
